My school had this thing today where all the student groups get tables out in the courtyard and pass out information and get people to sign up for their email lists and stuff. I helped out the guy who recently seized control of my animal rights group. He moved here and joined and then during the summer, all the girls who ran it split off and are now going to start their own or something (which I will probably also be involved in, perhaps as a double or even triple agent). So I guess I'm an officer now, which means I get a key to the office. I'm important! But even cooler, all the tables got free food to hand out and I walked away with two unopened boxes of bags of peanutes. 48 of them. They're going to last me a while, I think. But if anyone wants to come over to my house and eat a whole lot of peanuts, just let me know.

Classes started on Tuesday. They're going pretty well. Except I think I have to read Beowulf by Friday. That's going to be a fun class.

I now have my remote, so I can watch more than just the first title on any given disc, or switch to commentary tracks. But I'm still pretty bored by my DVD collection. I haven't bought any in forever.
