Flash floods strike the towns of Wayne and Randolph today after the skies dumped nearly 4 inches of heavy rain onto New Jersey.... This is pretty funny.... my pool has a pool on top of it... my back yard looks like the black hole. I went to the movies w/ the hub and when we got out of the theater it had just recently stopped raining.... the lower parking lot had at least a 15 inch deep lake on top of it. Crazy stuff.
Look at me... I haven't posted in almost a month and here I am talking about the weather. I haven't had much attraction to my computer lately and I've had a sudden urge to sleep lately, so that pretty much sucks up all my time outside of work. Tonight is the exception I guess. Pirana is on IFC tonight. Sweet. We just saw The Ring Two, pretty cool... not so scary though. Naomi Watts looks much much thinner. Somebody should give her a cookie.
We finally bought an oven today after ours being defunct for months. We never cook anyway... but it would be nice that one day I want pizza rolls to be able to make them. We walked away with a mid-grade Kenmore stainless steel gas oven, and a thousand bucks less in our pockets. We have so many plans for the house that are really starting to get underway. The media room, which belongs to my husband haha, will be completely redone. Including wallpaper removal, junk removal, new bookshelves, new desk and lighting. Herb wants to paint the ceiling charchoal black, walls bright orange, chairrail black, and lower portion gray. I have steered him away from all strange ideas and let him keep the colors, just not his crazy random stripe idea, that wouldn't have worked. We wanted to buy an island for the kitchen at Ikea. Unfortunately, they no longer sell the one w/ the butcher block top that has an overhang for stool space. So thats on hold until we can find something cool. We want to redo the bathroom too. Rip up the floor, change the little vanity to a full length vanity w/ single bowl sink and long countertop. That's going to take some time & research & we've yet to get out to expo to find something cool & progressive looking for the space. There is also a possibility that the 2nd bedroom could soon be used for a pea in the pod (hopefully). So I had a cool idea to make it retro-ish and non gender-based room. I want to take one big wall and stripe it w/ dark purple, light purple, dark green, light green, white and maybe light blue. Then I want the ceiling light blue. I want to paint the rest of the walls solid in light purple, light green and maybe the dark purple. I have some walnut colored furniture in there now and a couple of lava lamps to put in there as well. Whenever we pop out a little bambino... he/she will be livin in style. None of that circus, winnie the pooh, fishbowl, baseball, barbie bullshit.
Hopefully I'll have some good news about filling that room soon enough

I'm still dont agree with the pics of me thing. I tend to think I look like a moron or strange in most of them. I hate looking at myself.
