Information is nifty. Finding access to it can be difficult, and my abilty to retain it can waiver (I have a hard time using the word flux on this site as, you know, a vocabulary word instead of a proper noun.) But sometimes being on this site and the friendships that have grown out of it make me really feel the beauty of sharing and mixing and creating information. Thank you for that.
There's a book called Mind Children, by Hans Moravec, that I was reminded of by these thoughts on information. At one point he speculates about technology and AI reaching a point where they could map your neural patterns/networks, creating a digital copy of you, or essentially a very complex program that would act just like you. He then ponders life as a being of information with access to all information and with no shortages of storage devices. It makes learning seem very erotic. To learn form another being of information would be akin to sexual reproduction as your ideas and wisdom mixed to potentially form something new, or (perhaps) more interesting/erotic, make something fun or become a combined entity...Anyway, the book was written in 88, I think, so it's a little outdated, but it's still an interesting read. It also makes me think about the cloud people in Transmetropolitan. Anyway, I think it's an exhilarating thing to ponder and fathom.
okay, now onto the sharing of information,
diggity
well, after a cigarette and a beverage refil...

The paintings are a terrific idea. I think it's a shame professional framing is so damn expensive. If it weren't I might be more inclined to have dozens of nifty photos and such hung about the place.
