happy twelfth night and such.
i had a fun new years day. i rode on this think we call "the wink." It's a metal ladder suspended about two feet of the ground by a metal axle in the middle. You harness up and lock into one of the bottom rungs and sit yourself down and then start swinging away. When you get high enough, so of your "friends" grab the other side and hold you up in the air. Meanwhile, one of your other friends locks into the other side. Then the two of you get the things spinning; up and down, round and round, until one of you looses their lunch. The other is the winner.
Alternatively, you can just swing as hard as you can without the other person and get the thing spinning all the way around all by yourself. But this is much more of an effort.
I did both.
I had some saltines and ginger ale afterwards.
But it was fun.


Now, who wants to help me go gather up all the discarded trees and burn them in a twelfth night bon-fire of barley-wine drinkin' madness?
