Yesterday I saw a car crash while I was in the bus. It was weird, I mean where do all those people come from? There's a crash, suddenly, ten wanna be heroes are there with their cell phones and I'm like, where do you come from? Someone's getting beaten in the street, no hero, someone meet a stop sign way too fast, suddenly, everone's a life saver. I just really don't get it.
I thought a lot about that when I was at my interview this morning. The picture of shattered glass and blood fascinated me and kept me going, 'Those this happen often?' How many people witnesses a car crash in their life? I've seen two since I live in Montral and I'M wondering, is this part of human experience? To witness the rise and fall of everything you thought was safe? Nevertheless, I think way too much.
I'm dead tired, so cheer y'all...gotta catch some sleep before I collapse myself.
RECORD OF THE DAY : The Artic Monkeys first record was my motivation this morning. Way to jumpsart a day.
MOVIE OF THE DAY : I plan on watching Richard Linklater's WAKING LIFE this afternoon, feel like overthinkin myself again.

Now, that said, there seems to be a certain stigma against certain genres (a stigma which, to a lesser extent, is also visible at film awards ceremonies); take sci-fi, for example. Really, anyone who dismisses sci-fi as pap in this day and age obviously needs to wake up and get their heads out of their 19th century arses. Yet somehow, the genre still needs its own awards and contests, etc.
I don't feel like thinking very hard right now, so how about you tell me why or why not it's necessary for litereary genres to remain segregated.
Oh, and, I have never seen a car crash.
(edited because I not only feel unable to thik, but I am apparently unable to spell, as well)
