Howdy everyone!! I know It's been a little while since I updated, but I've been super busy. I had a blast at the latest HorrorHound Weekend in Cincinnati this past month. I got to meet Elvira for the first time! I was lucky enough to get to hang out with the entire cast from Night of the Creeps (tied for 1st place as favorite horror movie!!) and Quinn Lord (Sam from Trick r Treat). My wife was also with me (for the first time) for the entire weekend, she doesn't normally work these things. However, she had so much fun that she now wants to come to all of em. I did a couple of new prints for the show including the Elvira one (posted in this blog) and a brand new painting based on a segment from the first Creepshow.
The "confident" pose-down at my booth.
Me & Jason Lively (Night of the Creeps, European Vacation)
Me & Tom Atkins (Night of the Creeps, Creepshow, My Bloody Valentine 3-D)
Me & Jill Whitlow (Night of the Creeps, Ghost Chase)
My wife Heidi and Michael Gross (Tremors, Family Ties)
I also just had two paintings in art shows over the last week...one in Burbank CA. and another in Cincinnati OH. My painting in the Cincinnati show won the "Artist Choice" Award!! I didn't even think I had a chance considering I did a Winnie the Pooh piece for a horror show. The painting were all on Vinyl albums and mine happened to be a Winnie the Pooh record. I figured since it was to raise money for Childrens' Diabetes, it couldn't hurt to be family friendly. I still can't believe I won. Here's the pic.
Hopefully everybody has a great X-Mas! I'll see you when I see you.
Pieces,
-Dick
