Man did I pick the wrong day to quit smoking - what could go wrong, did go wrong - the husband of one of my employees got arrested, another is apparently so unable to get her kids lives together that they're not enrolled in school and strangely enough the truancy people are banging down the door. And, my mom got picked for jury duty (the odds of this happening were seriously infintesmal) so she's out all day tomorrow too. They think they'll be done by tomorrow night, and I sure as hell hope so.
However, I'm very proud of myself for not breaking down and having a cig, even though I did spend a lot of the afternoon feeling like I wanted to punch a baby.
In other news, my sister Barb and I are starting a blog together. With a words page. For all the Hill Family Words we've invented. I'll post the link here when I'm done creating it, which will probably be tomorrow or Wednesday.
Also, I started seeing my new therapist today and he's proven himself to be pretty awesome already. I've always been interested in getting my PsyD (doctorate in psychology) but I've also always been really interested in psychopharmacology. Apparently, there's a degree program at USF that's tailored to just those interests, called neuropsychology, which focuses on the biological basis of behavior. Nifty! But that's where he directed me to start looking. Definitely getting on that and reporting back before my appointment with him next week.
And now, it being almost 11 and since I have to get up earlier than usual tomorrow, I'm going to bed.
