Ok. Let’s talk dating. It. Fucking. Sucks.
☠️☠️☠️ I hate it ☠️☠️☠️
So, I’m chubby and preach self love. And I do love myself. But one thing I’ve found with starting dating... I have this voice in my ear of ‘oh he/she is super muscly, he/she won’t like you... you’re not what they want’ or ‘they seem active, I’m limited in what I can do so they won’t want that’ and so on.... I guess, I swipe no.. so I’ll never know.
But then I don’t have to worry about it. It’s gone. But what if that guy found me attractive? What if he was bummed we didn’t match?
Body positivity and self worth can take a loooong time to sort out. And I thought I was doing pretty good. But I realised, through this little app, that I am still doubting myself and my worth.
I do deserve happiness. I do deserve to be worshipped. Preconceived notions be gone!!! I’ve never fallen in love with someone’s body.
Sure. I found them attractive. But your mind, your compassion. That’s what makes me fall head over heels. And I need to stop putting myself down for the image I expect the other person to want. I could very well be that person.
