As I was viewing @saria and @mimo’s new set, S’more Toasted Feeling, I was spellbound by the perfection of their pairing. Their energy is so magnetic and the intimacy of their entanglements so engaging that I had to pause and look more closely for what was drawing me in. Mind you, I am bisexual, so make no mistake, the eroticism of the set is not lost on me; but I also recognized the subtle interplay of the colors in the girls’ hair and the shapes created in negative space by their playful and sensual interactions. When I came to the photo below, I was thinking, “@aymi, you’ve made a mistresspiece*! Now, THIS should be the base image for a new SG logo!”
Those of you who have followed me for a while know that I wasn’t a big fan of the 2013 redesign, and that I still miss the original SG logo (that some of us still have tattooed on our bodies, lol). With all due respect to the awesome artist who created the current logo, to me it just doesn’t capture the spirit of SG that I feel when I visit the site and see photo sets like the one mentioned above. Also, the site IS called Suicide Girls, not Suicide Girl. It makes sense to me that there should be two (or more) girls in the logo. Also, the world has changed a lot in 22 years, and a greater emphasis on the LOVE that is expressed here should be reflected in the company logo, IMHO. After all , there are plenty of people in the world right now that would just as soon put you in the ground than give you the time of day, especially if you happen to have a tinge of melanin in your skin or wave this flag: 🏳️🌈. To those who say, “But this image implies that the girls on SG are all lesbians,” I reply, couldn’t people also claim false advertising if the logo doesn’t indicate that at least some of them are? Not every set is a multi, obviously, but I’m still pretty sure that when Mimo and Saria got together and naked for this set, it wasn’t the cake and marshmallows they were focused on. So, with that in mind, I took a screenshot and went to work…
As I adjusted the colors I decided to experiment with varying levels of saturation, and I really liked the B&W version! Which one do you like? It’s perfectly fine if you don’t like it at all; according to SG’s terms and conditions, it already belongs to them because I posted it here and it contains an image derived from a licensed SG set. I’ve walked this road before, as some of you may recall as well, when I proposed an SG Army sticker/poster design based on a set in which @ivydenali and @francy appeared in this blog, SG ARMY STICKER. Mmmm…such a kiss! ❤️💋
Well, that’s my $.02 for whatever it’s worth (considering the value of the U.S. dollar, less than $.02, lol).
Happy Anniversary to Suicide Girls, and much, much love to all the members, Hopefuls, and SGs that make this site such a joy to visit!
