I’m busier than usual lately, but I wanted to pause and wish everyone a Happy Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day! With things being so darkly chaotic in the United States right now, we need something to celebrate.
However, we need to keep things in perspective; Former President Obama put it this way today, on Twitter: “Juneteenth has never been a celebration of victory, or an acceptance of the way things are. It's a celebration of progress. It's an affirmation that despite the most painful parts of our history, change is possible––and there is still so much work to do.”
I’ll be stepping up my part in moving us forward, as you’ll see here on SG and outside of it soon enough.
For now, I want to encourage you to continue my celebration of the Pinkification of @star by showing some LOVE on her set; she turned Pink just in time for her set to be selected for Juneteenth AND Cosplay Friday; how awesome is that? 🥳
The reason I’m so busy is that I’ve found a publisher who wants to check out my latest work, so I’ve got to edit the 2nd draft, write a synopsis and query letter, and then edit those, too, ASAP!
It’s finally warm enough for sun dresses again, Yea! I just might be persuaded to slip out of it later on...
