As everyone that follows me knows, I am a VERY busy girl, and I rarely use the assigned Blog Homework for my blog topics, because, very simply, I am not an SG, nor am I a Hopeful. I think it’s likely that every woman on this site, member, Hopeful, or staff, that doesn’t have the elite designation of Pinkness most likely has that little girl’s voice in the back of her head that says, “I want to be PINK like her!” whenever she looks at the almost unbelievably beautiful sets that appear on the front page every day. I know I do.
My followers also know that since I am a novelist, my blogs tend to be rather verbose and long-winded; this one will not be.
I make it a regular habit to give compliments on a very regular basis, and I don’t keep track of them, nor do I have a favorite, since they are all sincerely given, and not a line that is memorized to be applied universally.
However, I never really had a favorite compliment that had been given to me before - until 2 August 2019 when the exquisite French beauty @marlene very simply posted my username with a heart next to it in the thread “What Members Would You Like To See Become Hopefuls” in the Everything SG group, implying that she would like to see me become a Hopeful. That sentiment was very quickly echoed by the delightful and lovely girl below, @ksew. I won’t lie; I actually shed a few tears and cried a lot more inside. 🥺😢😭
It was like they had both given me a big hug and a smile and said, “You’re awesome, you can do this.” That hasn’t happened for me since I was a child when my maternal grandmother was alive, and considering that I was married for a long time, that’s saying a lot.
@Marlene has a set that has been in review since 2016 called L’Arrache Coeur, which, if my French is still any good, means something like, “Stolen Heart.” Well, Marlene, you have certainly stolen mine. Not that money can ever repay a compliment of such magnitude, but once I get paid later this week, you can expect a nice big tip on that set specifically, and I will be speaking French first in my upcoming language videos because of you, toi femme incroyable. If you haven’t seen her set that has over 3500 likes and yet hasn’t hit the front page, please do so - lets take it to 4000 and make it FP!
