Hello again, Everyone!
As I hinted earlier today, here is part 2 of my short blog on International Women’s Day 2019:
Here on SG, those of us who adhere to the color pink usually use our own page to provide images and videos of ourselves as part of providing interesting and entertaining content for the community as whole- but also as a means of promoting our sets and those of our sisters.. However, one of the things about this community that I have always admired is the constant support for EVERYONE that I see. Sometimes it’s members rallying around a Hopeful to help her turn Pink, other times it SGs and Hopefuls supporting a member who has fallen ill or is sad due to the passing of a loved one, and more recently, it’s a blog of acknowledgement of the members, Hopefuls and SGs that have inspired and supported us!
Two of the most powerful and wonderful of these blogs have been by @felicity, the Brazilian Hopeful who has been my dear friend here for so long,
and by the recently Pink @kaliva,
who has expressed her admirable generosity in her blog to share her financial prosperity with an SG or Hopeful based on member suggestions, not just her own opinion.
However - SuicideGirls.com is an exception to the rule in my experience. In the United States, gender inequality that leans heavily towards the masculine side of the spectrum is still rampant, especially in the corporate world in which I still work during the day. So, I’m using this space to encourage each of you to look beyond the borders of SG for just a few minutes today - and the days that follow - to learn a little bit about how you can help empower women in the world around you. I posted a similar message via email at my office today, and someone made a snide remark about it, implying that men should have a holiday, too. Yes, perhaps someday, when women are treated equally; but not until then. There is no other place where the inequality is still so apparent and contradictory than in the supposedly free democracy of the USA, where there has NEVER been a female President of the country, and where the political party of majority in the Senate is still mostly old, white men who greedily support their own agendas and special interests, rather than the needs of the constituents who elected them.

Much Love to everyone, no matter what your gender is; and thank you for reading!
