It happened about eight years ago. I was aboard a small jet flying northbound from San Francisco. We had been in the air about an hour, and it was quite late, about 9:30 pm. The cabin lights were off, and it seemed that all the other passengers were asleep. The flight attendant, a very pleasant and beautiful blonde woman, was the only other set of eyes I saw open. There was a bright orb of light shining in the sky just to the starboard side of the plane. Based on its shape and luminosity, I was not immediately surprised or concerned. After about five minutes, the flight attendant came out of the cockpit and looked around. She saw that I was awake, and she came over to talk to me.
