...o "Mensaje en una Botella" if you read Spanish. I sat down to play my guitar for the first time in quite a while, and I realized I really should update my page on SG.
The last five months have been more difficult than I would have liked. I went to a seminar in San Diego in February, and came back with a virus that knocked me down for a month. Luckily, after two days of a 104 degree fever, I was able to get back to work. My employer was very supportive; they used my sick days as my scheduled days off and proceeded to work me six days a week for the next 9 weeks. It's no wonder it took me so long to get better - I hardly got any rest. It seems it was a test. After 8 months with my new employer, I received a $3.50/ hour raise and a promotion. I can't complain about that! Tengo suerte buena! (I have good luck!)
However, I'm choosing to take it with a grain of salt and not get attached to anything. With so many things changing in the world of technology, you never know when you may no longer be needed.
In addition I've been working on new ideas for my novel, and I think this is going to be one awesome book. More on that soon. Household chores and maintenance have increased due to warmer weather, and I have been dealing with the withdrawal symptoms which come from being finally released from taking medications for the treatment of a chronic disease. I had taken the meds for 10 years! My strength is finally returning, but has been a long haul. I hate benzodiazepines!
I'll do a video or two soon, and try to keep things interesting by tackling the SG homework. I have a number of new followers, and there are so many new hopeful sets that it's hard to keep up. I'll also be blogging about my upcoming trip to Irvine, CA, to see RUSH with some old friends.
Siento que me permite mi página de llegar tan aburrido! (I'm sorry that I allowed my page to get so boring!)
I've been spending too much time just following and posting. I will endeavor to improve.
Rock 'n Roll!
