it doesn't take much to make dholokhov happy. The new Chixdiggit! album does quite nicely. I am fully hep to criticisms that they may not be the world's most socially progressive band, but they have come a long way since songs like "I Wanna Hump You" and "Where's your Mom?". And the commentary track makes them seem like swell, fun loving guys.
That's right, a commentary track. After the actual album gets done, it gets played again with the band talking over the songs, talking about some of the more obscure stuff in the lyrics, what inspired the songs, and engaging in silliness. Soon it will be standard on all albums, I'm sure.
I have also been watching that program Freaks and Geeks on DVD. is there any aspect of that show not taken directly from My-So Called Life? And MSCL was better. But I reallly like the star of the show, mainly because she looks a lot like my good friend R- who years ago I used to have like the world's biggest crush on. And the "OMG get me out of here right now" looks that she puts on whenever that Nick guy starts talking about how much he likes are hilarious.

'Because I hate poor people. I hate them, Donna, they're all so poor, and many of them talk funny and don't have proper table manners. My father slaved away at the Fortune 500 company tha he inherineted so that I could go to Choate, Brown and Harvard and see that this country isn't overrun by poor people and lesbians.'
