so I ran into a friend from undergrad on the weekend and went back to his place (which turns out to be just a block away from mine). We caught up and hung out and stuff (he told me 'you know, when I first met you it was the first week of school in toronto, and you had blue hair and a nose ring, and I was like 'I have really arrived in the big city' (little did he know...)). He's moving to Massachusetts (sp.?) to do a phd in sociology - neat.
As we were saying goodbye we stood in the doorway of his building chatting for several minutes, and when I left the landlord from the next building comes swooping down on me and starts yelling and demanding to know who I am and what I am doing there (wearing a t-shirt and bath towel, btw). After several minutes of yelling at each other, I ascertained he was not a crazy homeless person and he ascertained I was not one of the many bicycle thieves who apparently case the joint all the time. So we had a brief civil chat amongst ourselves, but still using the yelling voices we had begun the 'conversation' with.
And I got and installed a new graphic card. Once I realized that certain stuff has to be disabled on my type of computer for it to work, and it stopped blackscreening, I must say I was mighty impressed. I needed it to play some new computer games but it adds some really nice features to some old ones, which I hadn't counted on.
...and the sunset looks really nice right now, though nobody reading this will be able to see it.
...and now its gone.

Although that one scene where Catherine Zeta-Jones takes off her top in the staircase... *shiver*
Even though you don't see anything, it's still almost unfairly sexy.
