Last week, I finally got a new pair of shoes to replace the shredded pieces of canvas that passed for footwear. I was really happy to get a pair of last year airwalks for a mere $30. When I tried them on I thought they were a little big but that I could live with it. And for the last five days they have rubbed raw, bleeding blisters in two spots on each foot (I put on two pairs of socks on Tuesday, and by the end of the day my feet-eating shoes had chewed right through both and were cutting into the skin again). So while I can still move my lower body, I am off to buy some insoles...
UPDATE -
I now have my insoles. Right foot is perfectly peachy. Left foot still a little abraded, but now bleeding only a little bit, and intermittently. Hope to build up callouses soon.

That one's going in God's Little Slideshow Cruel, but hilarious.
