Yesterday I went out with a good friend and shoot about 100 rounds from an ak-47 and an AR-15.
so much fun and a good stress release. Nothing new and crazy in my life.
Just plugging away at paintings and trying to get a ton of art work done for a show coming up in may. I'm also expanding the art scene in this dismal little town by talking to well established local businesses to see if they will hang local artists work. Seems to be going well. I have a few places on board with that and the local art council is doing their best to promote the plethora of artists in this community.
I'm also looking into expanding to larger cities to get my work out there. At the moment I'm trying to stock pile paintings so I can be multiple places at once. Also having no car slows me down at trying to expand so I have to team up with a few other artist who already have a foot in the door in bigger cities.
One thing I know for sure is painting is a time consuming process and I've been struggling with going insane from sitting in my apartment painting for days on end. Trying to regulate a strict schedule when you have no real obligations in life other then painting and calling up the parents to let them know you are alive, is a lot harder then it seems.
I can't complain to much because not many people even have the chance to do what they really love in life, or even realize that can be an option, and giving the circumstance that the world is faced with today I have no room to complain about anything in my life. Just try to make the best of it and pass on the DIY approach and maybe inspire others along the way to realize that here and now is what matters.
have a wonderful day
