Rough synopsis of my weekend.
Friday:
9:00pm - 21st party in Limerick
Saturday:
3:00am - left party for home
6:30am - left home for work
3:30pm - left work for train station
4:00pm - boarded train for Dublin
4:40pm - inexplicable delay between connecting trains
4:45pm - delay caused by approximately 150 trainspotters on the platform apparently
7:00pm - arrive in Dublin
8:00pm - found city centre
9:00pm - found pub
Sunday:
1:00am - left Foggy Dew for Bruxelles
1:15am - decision made outside Bruxelles to go to Fibbers instead
1:35am - arrived at Fibbers
1:40am - ordered Green Machine (in hindsight, a bad and costly move)
2:40am - left fibbers, group begins to scatter (and stagger) to various hotels, buses and taxis
3:00am - begin waiting outside a closed Bus Aras for bus
6:30am - Bus Aras opens their doors to reveal it is actually heated
6:30:02am - my frozen ass finds a chair
6:45am - realise there's no buses until almost 8am
6:46am - get taxi to Heuston
7:00am - arrive at Heuston
8:10am - board train to Limerick
10:35am - arrive in Limerick
11:00am - start work
7:00pm - finish work
7:40pm - arrive home
8:15pm - make post on SG Ireland
8:16pm - apparently fell asleep on keyboard
10:30pm - woke up to the sound of my huge Starbucks mug full of tea smashing off the floor after I rolled over on the desk and knocked it off
10:35pm - bed
Monday:
8:00am - wake up for work
8:30am - boss calls, says I can have the day off given how tired I was in on Sunday
8:31am - I proclaim the man a saint and offer to sacrifice anything in his honour
So that's me up to date then. I've already had 8 cups of tea and I have no intention of moving for the day.
SG Ireland meet was excellent, good to put faces to names, and real names to faces.
