They fixed my wife!!!! .... Well her vp shunt at least...
After 2 visits to Sharp health care ERs with no success I went and searched out the best doctors in our insurance network. A lot of the highest rated ones all shared a same number, so I called to plead our case to the scheduling master to see if they could get us in with any of the doctors today. She was able to find an appointment with the highest rated doctor in the office; but we needed to get copies of her CT scan from the ER and a copy of the MRI which started this whole mess. I went into work today but was scrambling to arrange all of this while getting my work done as quickly as possible without having to slap someone.
The Sharp doctors office was not able to give me copies of the tests so I had to leave work, drive 30 miles home to pick up my wife, drive 20 miles back to the hospital, then drive 15 miles to another medical office after the hospital could only give us one of the scans. then to her doctor appointment. Once at UCSD everything was sunshine and lollipops. They took her 45 minutes early the doctor was personable, professional, and awesome, the student doctor with him was like a clone of 13 from the tv show "house", Olivia Wilde, and my wife has a big thing for her, and they found the problem and fixed it in a matter of minutes. MINUTES!! What 4 doctors over 12 hours in the ER couldn't do they got done in minutes. UCSD ROCKS!!!!! It's going to take a few hours for the affects to kick in but I think we're out of the woods.
I never put much stock in deceased loved ones "watching over us" but 3 years ago today our close friend, Rick, passed away in the hospital right next to the one where we went today. And his sister sent us a text this morning, before I even made the appointment, and said Rick was watching out for her today......

they found that her pump was closed WAY too much so pressure was building up in her head causing the headaches. if it had continued it could have lead to seizures and possibly a stroke, which happened once before. but now she is back to close to normal. thank you for your concern, and for the conversation while all this was going on.
