I play a Rogue on World of Warcraft. Rogues are a class that is designed to deal massive damage very quickly. The downside is that we can't take damage well at all due to low armor and hit points. So in order to get an advantage in combat, we can stealth (turn invisible to other players) and stun (knock our enemies out for very short periods of time). We have several stuns at our disposal, and if we play our cards right, we can use most of them in a single fight and lock our enemies up with stuns, barely able to return blows or run away (hence the term "stunlock").. While our enemy is stunned, we can get behind them and Backstab them for insane amounts of damage. Here's a breakdown of an average attack against another player:
