Apparently in the midst of drinking too much champagne (is there such a thing?) at my friends holiday party last night, I agreed to take part in some sort of steam punk performance art in Oakland next spring. I am to play some sort of Commissar of a group of devotees of Nikola Tesla. Of course, being a steam punk fair, this puts me in the camp of the "bad guys", which is completely awesome. It should be lots of fun (if it actually happens) because I was recruited by one of the founders of this project:
There are supposed to be Tesla Guns, and steam punk doomsday machines...so yeah, I am pretty stoked. Plus, I get to be evil. Did I mention that yet?
So yeah, sometimes hanging out with oldskoolers does pay off. Long and the short of it, this guys wife used to work for me as a caregiver back when I was living in Scotland. In fact the person hosting the party is one of my current care providers as well. I really do surround myself with some random, and very cool people.
