A whirlwind trip to Santa Monica that lasted less than 48hrs, and no photos to show for it. Let's face it, I hate playing the part of the tourist, especially when I am hanging out with "locals." Given that my sister is also a bit of a shutterbug, I imagine that the blog following my return from PDX will be much more visually stimulating.
All in all, the trip was a success, and there is nothing quite like an 8 hr greyhound ride to give you time to catch up on some reading/napping. I managed to almost finish Narcissus and Goldmund , and I did start and finish Choke, which I highly recommend. Also, one of my friends down there (Santa Monica) loaned me In Search of Schrodinger's Cat, and Hardcore Zen, both of which I plan on devouring as soon as I finish said H. Hesse novel. Not much else to report at this point, but I have to say, I do like this nomadic life that I am starting to live. It is going to be a great summer.
p.s. I love web comics that also make me look up stuff.
p.p.s I love post scripts almost as much as I love footnotes.
p.p.p.s. I hate endnotes though.

You started traveling after I left the west coast....
Have fun in PDX buddy!
1. You Rock (funny kind of fake end note thingy done by someone who can't figure out how to do a digital end note)
