Dammit! I just typed up my whole blog, then lost it when my wrist hit the touch-pad on my laptop! Weak!
I'm tired just now, so here are the highlights, as it would take another 45 minutes to type it all out again:
I'm saving up for my next tattoo! It will be my most ambitious by far: it will start on my arm, go up my shoulder, across my collar bone, down over my heart, and quite possibly, off to the side around my left ribcage. All one design, with plenty of influences from comic books, Yeats, steampunk art, and yes, maybe a little SG! Does that rule apply to the boys too, or just the girls? Does anybody know?
Speaking of Bizzy (my brother), he and I are moving in together again! I'm very excited! We will be sharing a brand new condo! It's all due to my brother's rampant generosity- he's paying for everything- all I have to pay is a flat rate every month, which amounts to about 1/3 of the rent! Seriously! I can't wait to have somebody cook for again (yes, that's wretchedly domestic, but I love cooking, and androgyny rocks)! My brother and I make a good pair, and it will be so nice to get my social life resuscitated once more! We haven't lived together since my crippling knee injury a few years ago.
I've been listening to the Cure a ton lately, remembering why I love them so much. Also- Dresden Dolls are awesome, and have been getting constant play in my car stereo. And....Cursive is coming to Boise! February 18th, I'll be there! They're opening for Alkaline Trio, which seems a little backwards to me personally, but anything that gets Cursive back to town is fine by me.
Lots of cool shit going down in the comic book world, but this week, i'm going to plug one of my favorite comics, which is woefully behind: the Runaways! If you don't know what this comic is, you are definitely missing out. You can by volumes of the digest sized, full color story arcs for about $8.00, so you should check them out. Here's the basic, initial plot. You know how all the comic book action seems to take place on the East Coast? Well, that's because the West Coast is all locked up by the Pride, a syndicate of super-villains that have made a devilish pact to keep they're part of the country firmly in hand. But what happens when it's time for them to sacrifice a soul for their blood pact, and their kids oversee? You got it- they run away! But when these kids find out they're chips off the ol' super-powered blocks, it's redemption time as the Runaways set about undoing their parents monstrous works! Great book- Brian K. Vaughn (Y the Last Man) created it, then handed it off to Joss Whedon, who funked it up a bit, and then Terry Moore (Strangers in Paradise, Echo) breathed life into it again, but now it's on the ropes again. It's been two months since the last issue came out! What the hell, Marvel! Get to work!
And now, some quick SG highlightes! As if you needed extra motivation to read BetteJean's blog, she's spoiling us with an enticing incentive! What is it? Go find out! But beware, you will be compelled to Bookmark and keep coming back to haunt that vast stretches of her blog commentary....it happens to the best of us! And spread the word- her new set goes up on February 9th! It's a nearly unforgivable oversight that she hasn't gone Pink yet, so let's try to do something about that!
Check out Courtly's set in MR is absolutely alluring! She is a fox, and she knows it. So check it out, and let her know that you know it!
HollyStar put out a very strong first set- it's in MR right now, check it out! It's one of those really good establishing sets- simple setting, lots of variations of angle and pose; it does a great job of introducing her to the SG public, and I for one, want more!
MarieCheri is another hopeful with an amazing first set! She has what they call a school girl smile and liquor store eyes! If you are in the mood for a fun, spunky, sassy naked girl, MarieCheri is the girl for you!
That's all for now- I'll be moving this week I think, but I'll try to get back here with an update soon!
And for all of you who read my last blog and left comments, thank you thank you thank you!
It means a lot to me to know that you're out there reading it! Don't be strangers!

bettejean:
I LOVE the Dresden Dolls. I need to listen to them more.

I think you would be more likely an elder than a deacon, a better ranking for you.
