Hello SG! It's been awhile, but I'm glad to say I'm finally getting some sleep (see last blog).
Before anything else, I have to ejaculate a little geek orgasm here- Blackest Night #1 was everything it promised and more! Great comics like that make up for the other twenty or so that aren't worth their cover price that I'll read this month (I've been spending WAY too much on comics, and I've trimmed my subscription list to just under 40 comics a month. However, I am reading classic Suicide Squad lately, and I need to pick up more back issues now....sigh....
I've gotten a writing job. working as a sub-contracted copywriter through the company I did my college internship with. It's got no regular hours, so I could end up working a mere 10 hours a month, or 100 hours a month, depending on how much needs to be done. But my wage is going to be somewhere between 15 and 20 dollars and hour- not bad! Certainly a step up from minimum wage working at the comic shop. Unforutnately, it looks like the bus driving job fell through- which is too bad, because it was a job with regular hours, benefits, holiday pay- the whole nine yards. Oh well.
Still haven't met anybody of significance yet (in the flesh I mean; I've met some fast friends here on SG!). One of my friends might be moving to Colorado though, which is a bit of a downer.
Other than that, it's business as usual. Nothing else to report on our bitch about. For now.
But give me time- something always comes up!
Take care SG.
