So on Friday I went to Bound with Wayne and Jeaneen. Bound closed down for a while because the place that it used to be at, Between Friends, shut down for financial reasons. Bound reopened at The Green Lantern in D.C. this past Friday and will now be open every Friday instead of just the last Friday of the month like it used to be. Which is awesome!!!
Anywho, it took us about 10-15 mins of walking around the Metro area to find the damn place. The directions at Bound said a 2 block walk from the station, but it failed to mention in which direction. Eventually we found it. I must remind you that The Green Lantern is a gay men's club, which didn't pu Wayne in a comfortable mood. But they were kind enough to set-up Bound on the upper level of the club.
When I think back of Between Friends, the size difference is extraordinary!! The Green Lantern was extremely cramped and very very small. At Between Friends there were 2 bars, a nice sized dance floor, a vacum bed, tables and chairs, 2 crucifixes, 3 demo areas for electric play, ropes, and flogging, and a stage for the Cagemaster Todd to do his thing. However, at The Green Lantern, there were racks set up around the room, but only 2 were in use. I was standing next to the one near the DJ booth and the Dom accidentally hit me with her nine-tails (which I really didn't mind), but still, there was no room for her to do her thing or really for anyone to dance.
Speaking of dancing, who knew Wayne danced?!? I started dancing after a lil while once I got a chance to scope out the place. And after a few Jack and Cokes, he started to dance too.
The weirdest thing was this creepy older guy who practically followed us around all night trying to dance with Jeaneen. He reminded me of an older Ted Bundy. He didn't speak to either Wayne or I, just sort of went up behind her and started dancing. When the first song was over, she wanted to go to the bathroom. So I went with her and she told me that this guy was apparently very happy to dance with her. He was relentless and kept trying to dance with her the rest of the night.
All in all I had lots of fun!! We're all trying to go back next Friday. It's a nice break at the end of the week with all of my portfolio work that I've been doing.
Blessed be for now!
