I just completed a week long workshop with...RACHEL BRICE!!!!
I've never been this sore before in my life, but oh it was worth it. She's incredibly friendly, very very down to earth and has a great sense of humor. We learned everything from sidewinders, what a Turkish Drop is, laybacks, undulations, chest lifts and drops, three-quarter shimmies, and one of the most difficult choreographies I've ever attempted. It didn't seem too hard for the other more experienced dancers. But me being a baby bellydancer, it was really hard. My body simply won't do a three-quarter shimmy at this point.
She gave me a lot to think about when it comes to my devotion to learning this dance and anything new in life. And thanks to her, I have new way of coping with my panic disorder. She taught me Ujjayi Pranayama breathing, which I've heard of before with my Seane Corn's Vinyasa Flow yoga. But the way Rachel taught it really helped me when I get anxious or nervous. So if you get a chance, look it up.
Anywho, I just thought I'd share with you all how awesome this past week has been and how awesome my boss is for giving me the afternoon's off to go. If you all get a chance, swing by Rachel Brice and The Indigo. Go to one of their shows, they're based in California, which is pretty nice for all you west-coasters.![smile](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/emoticons/smile.0d0a8d99a741.gif)
Blessings to all and enjoy!!
