Wayne and I went to see that tonight and it blew me away. It really makes you think. It was very, very political and showed what a possible future could be for nations overrun with a government so focused on power that they deliberately kill innocent people by the thousands. John Hurt played a believeable ruthless, truly power-hungry, dirty, decieving politician.

Natalie Portman's acting was phenomenal. She let the emotions pour and it was amazing! And the fact that you never see Hugo Weaving's face was extremely symbolic. He really did represent what was going on in the mind's of those living in England in this time period. He wasn't just William Rookwood or V, he was the people of England. He was speaking out for all the injustice and wrongs he saw within his country, that he obviously loved. He was fighting for the wongs committed against him and those at the detention center.

If you haven't seen it, go now. Stop what you're doing. If this doesn't get awards or at least nominations, I'll be pissed.
