So whats up world, been a while since I wrote up a little thiing on here to let people know what I am working on.
For one of my classes I am learning Rhinoceras. It is a 3D surface modeling program wich I think is pretty cool and allows alot of flexability in your modeling. It is deffinately easier to use than Solidworks wich I learned last quarter.
For my main studio class we are working on a really cool project with some good initiative. A company called Pride Mobility out of Pennsylvania has come to us for fresh thoughts and hopefully future employees.
What Pride Mobility designs and produces are mobility aides for people that use anything from electric wheelchairs to the mobility scooters that you see older folks using at grocerie stores and walmart. I am really excited abouth this because it offers up some design challenges that should be a lot of fun to work out.
Another cool aspect of this quarters project is that Pride Mobility is giving each of us $75 towards research and development. That doesnt sound like a lot but keep in mind that we are a Junior level class and as far as I know this is the first time that this has been done at Ohio State University.
Well that is pretty muuch it. If anybody happens to have any input into the aspect of wheelchairs or those individuals that are handicapped I would love to hear it. Till then take care.
