Hmmm... I'm not sure if I'd describe myself as horribly anti-social in real life, but I'm definitely a loner... I've found that very few people want to talk about anything that goes beyond surface level, so most of the time I just don't bother. Most people go through life with blinders on anyway, and it's pretty sad if you ask me.
As far as SG and the internet... I guess I'm a little more social here because let's face it... I will probably never see half the people I talk to here, and most of them don't really care about me anyway, so it's no big loss. That being said... I have met some very good friends here on SG who have become friends in real life, and even those I don't live so close to, I can still talk with on the phone.
I tend to post a lot on the boards and in the groups out of sheer boredom. Life isn't all that exciting right now because all I'm doing is waiting for my clients to pay me so I can get back to Chicago. So yeah... I spend far too much time sitting in front of the computer, and the time I don't spend on the computer is spent at AA meetings... Meetings can actually be pretty entertaining sometimes because drunks have a way of creating a lot of drama. I was sober for 4 years at one point, so I've been to enough of them to know what to expect. I just sit back, enjoy the show, and hope someone brought popcorn
