derelict

hey all. sorry for my nonexistant entries, or better yet my attendance to the site therefore lacking. I have been preoccupied with spring cleaning, assembling funiture, and speending bu-coos ( not sure on the spelling read it as it's spelled. ) on the later touches of my boat.
I racked up a whoping bill at Lowes of over 3000 dollars this weekend. I bet love me right now. They at least know me by first name in the flooring and appliance depts. lol
I bought a smooth range top, a over the stove mic, a side by side ref. and a dishwasher. plus I purchased over 1200 sq. ft. of indoor/outdoor carpeting...yeah big bucks! anyway I went in with a measuring tape, a calulator, a camera, and a daily planner. they were very curious. And I love the look on their faces when I explain...

"...so you are renovating a house boat?"
"Nope.", is all I say.
"...then you bought one of those kits they sell?"
"Nope." I say Again.
they just look at me puzzled. lol
I just grin and say, "starting from scratch. Serve me right, and I'll be back."
I normally get a 'yes maam.' and higher amount of respect, and what I need after I start asking them the right questions.

I can't wait to get it on the water and sold. It will be well worth it. I hope to be done by July. I have do the kitchen floor this week, and some more trim details, but then we be set to float. I'm so excited.

On another high note, land is on it way, and a house is in planning...
I'll be back tomorrow to leave my friends some love and catching up.
