3/20: What skills and activities are you occupying yourself with during the quarantine?
Hey guys, figured I would do a few of these Homeworks considering there’s not a whole lot else to do so here we go! (Don’t mind me if they are not in order date wise)
Quarantine has created the opportunity for me to find or expand on some activities I enjoy to help keep my brain busy during down time. Which I actually kind of really appreciate.
🖤
Biking has always been a pleasure of mine but I found myself not going as often as I’d like. I live in the Midwest so weather can be very temperamental (like today) and make it difficult to get out, that plus the excuses I made led me to barely going out for rides last summer. Since I can’t go to the gym like I used to daily, I make it a thing to go for a bike ride any day the temp is over 50°. It’s been really helpful to get fresh hair and to get some cardio!

Video games has been a HUGE distraction as well but honestly always was, that being said I’ve definitely amped up my gameplay the last few weeks though . I’ve also been streaming on TWITCH more regularly to try and build my community and make that a thing. I’ve always loved video games so having a special place with a community to hang out and chat with has been my biggest saving grace in this mess. I’m super thankful for that. Ive mostly been playing the Ori games lately and I absolutely adore them.
Feel free to come check me out on stream btw!!

Many of you already know that hooping is one of my favorite hobbies and even though I never put the hoop down, I definitely fell out of the daily practice I used to get. I’ve been making more of an effort to pick my hoops back up and even try to learn something new. I’m being patient though because a lot of my hooping is done outside so once it warms up and all the plants grow in, it’s game on! Till then, its hoop time in my stream room.

I’ve honestly just been trying to keep myself busy as much as possible. I already deal with a lot of depression and anxiety so my way of combatting increased levels during this is the constant activities. I love to read, I have a few books I’m working on actually. I call myself an ADD reader. I love to watch movies and TV shows, I’ve been going back and watching old favorites of mine like Beetlejuice and The Princess Bride. I also have been putting together things like puzzles or even tried my first LEGO Star Wars build.
It’s just about finding little things to keep your mind off of what’s going on in the world for a little bit. I think that’s really what’s really keeping me sane through all this.
🖤
Hope everyone is staying safe out there!
Feel free to comment below on what activities you have found helpful! You never know, you could spark an idea for someone else!
