Hey guys!
This morning I woke up and noticed my cat Orion sitting next to me with his tongue sticking out. At first I giggled thinking “what a silly boy” but when I noticed he wasn’t pulling it back in and then that he was also drooling, I knew something was wrong and further tried to investigate.
I thought maybe he got into something and was having a toxic reaction but I’m usually pretty good at keeping toxins put away and Orion doesn’t typically get into anything either. So then I thought maybe he has an abscesses tooth? Since I knew from training as a Vet Tech that those are signs of mouth/tooth pain in animals. He tried to eat some breakfast but it looked fairly difficult for him so I rushed him over to the vet clinic to get him checked out.
Turns out the poor guy has a fractured molar and will be needing it removed. I set up the apt already for his dental/tooth removal so hopefully after he can start to heal and feel better. In the meantime I have pain meds to keep him comfortable.
