Hey guys!! So I was tagged by the lovely @rambo to participate in this Favorite Photo Challenge 🖤 so here we go!
I knew right away which photo I was going to use for this challenge and it just so happens to be a photo my friend took of me with a hula hoop at Electric Forest last year!
I’ve explained EF in some previous blogs but quickly it is a EDM/JamBand music festival based in Michigan, in a forest of trees and is full of lights, art, music, great people and even greater vibes. It is my favorite place on earth.
One of the art installments are plaques of wood with words of encouragement on them and are hung on the trunks of trees throughout the forest. A few really stand out to me and this was one of them. Embrace the flow. You can interpret it in many ways but for me it was about feeling the flow of life. Treating it like a dance and staying true to yourself. It also fits in nicely with the fact that I love dance and hula hooping so the words flow are often used to describe ones individual expression of dance. Seemed fitting.
This is one of my favorite photos of myself most of all because you can see how happy I am. Not only am I at one of my favorite places, with my best friends, listening to tons of good music, good vibes, lots of dancing/hooping but I’m wearing one of the biggest smiles I’ve worn to date. This is truly my happy place.
