8/3: What is your favorite season and why?
Can I pick 2?
I’m from the Midwest (where we get all the fun season changes), and I would have to say that Spring and Fall are my 2 favorites.
Spring is amazing because it comes after the dull grey winter, the sun starts to get a little warmer, and everything outside is green and freshly blooming. I’ve always loved how bright green everything looks at the start of Spring. It's entirely about rebirth, a time to remember that even when things get difficult and grey that a new season of life is right around the corner.
A great metaphor I learned this Spring came from a video posted on Bassnectar’s Twitter, featuring a story from a podcaster named Duncan Trussel. It helped to give me new hope and light when I needed it.
The Metaphor of Spring ~
My Love for Fall is mostly due to the incredible scenery this season has. All the trees turn yellow, bright oranges, and reds. The air cools down and hoodies become the norm comfort attire. Its a time for hot chocolate or hot apple cider, bonfires and of course.. Halloween! Fall makes me want to curl up in a warm blanket and snuggle, but also to walk through some leaves, making that crunch sound. There is just so much about this season that plays to my senses, its hard not to love it
Fall is actually right around the corner and as I write this I'm getting extremely excited thinking about it! Apple Orchards and Pumpkin Patches here I come!!!
