Thanks for the topic @rambo & @missy
*Got a little behind on topics but I'm back home and will still be posting a few that I can relate to*
6/8: Who do you reach out to when you're feeling down?
I don’t have a lot of people I feel comfortable reaching out to because I never want to feel like a burden. I do have a few, but it depends on where I am with an issue or how severe it is.
One person I can reach out to is my Mom. When I’m feeling down I always trust she won’t judge me, and most of the time she has some good feedback for me. She’s also my mom and understands a lot of my depression and anxiety.
Another person is my partner, who is a very safe person for me. I know they care, so I can always count on them if needed. Plus, they are around me the most out of anyone and see what I’m going through. We work really well together figuring out how to move forward with a problem.
I do also talk to some of the online friends that I’ve made, but I usually keep things on a pretty surface level and don’t dive too deeply into my issues with them. If I do need to go further I keep myself anonymous on a depression chat and vent there.
It can be hard for me to feel like my issues are valid but everyone's are, so mine must be too. It helps for me to talk my problems out, and the people who let me open up to them are so precious to me.
Thanks!
