I have zero tattoos. I've always wanted one though. I never could figure out what to get. Being on this site allows a person to view some really amazing ink. It definitely doesn't help squash the desire for a tattoo, however it also adds to the debate about what I should get. I'll probably always be stuck in this zone of wanting, but not getting. I'm interested in hearing about other peoples experiences, especially the first time you got a tattoo. Do you have a tattoo that you're particularly proud of, or one that holds significant meaning to you? Please feel free to share thoughts, pics, etc. I'd love to hear from everyone.

I have 2, I had the first when I was 18 and it's a present from my mom for my birthday, it's a dragon (you can see it in some pics, it's on my shoulder). I wanted a dragon tattoo since I was 13, and now that many years passed by I'm still proud of it. It has a big meaning for me, both the drawing and the period of my life when I had it done, and still helps me when I don't feel I can do something or I feel depressed and defeated from life. The other one is on my leg, it's a sailing ship and I had it because I liked the drawing. I added some meaning in it, but the reality is that I had it at the convention because I loved it. xD

A family crest was my first. It has meaning, looks cool with a sword coming through the top of a crown and was inexpensive. I got it in 98 and the wife and I are looking at a set of 2 in the next month.
