For more than one week this stones-song got stuck in my head: "She's so cold". My God, this is real music. It's very simple, really sparsely played and got no unusual melody or harmonics, but it's got one thing, many other tunes lack of: real groove. And if I say groove, I mean groove. If you hear this song and totally remain sitting still on your chair, you have no soul, got no life. Groove is everything, and in this case bass & drums, if they don't fit together like a mashine nothing will ever rock. And, of course, Jagger sings like it was the last day of his life.
And that's why I will never again play with drummers that are not always rhythmically abolutely in time: No groove no fun.
