sir. that is very true. a lot of people who "like punk music" don't know much about it and probably haven't heard any real punk music. it is a sad thing when something you love is so shamelessly misrepresented to the world. i also think it is a shame when someone just listens to one genre alone without searching for the outside influences that shaped the music. i can understand what you're saying. thanks fo elaborating.

P.S.-i agree there is a lot better music out there than green day, and i even think they were too poppy for the Lookout Lable in the first place, but you've got to respect a band that gets people excited about music.
