Evening all!
So, as the title suggests I'm a tad bewildered at what goes down.
Have been checking out some profiles and shoots. They have been great! The direction the photographer has taken for some of them is just amazing! Here in lies the problem with the 21st century.
I look at a lot of the shoots and I see a model creating pieces of art. Using their style, which for whatever reason wasn't accepted as mainstream, and their body art to create some of the most magical images online this very day!
But then...
It's all spoiled by the comments section. Yeah, I know the models are expecting it, but must they be that sexual and seedy I ask?
They put their bodies out there to present the world with a different style. To show everyone who cares that they are still an amazing example of the female form and they get met with... "Seeing you wet makes it so hot" and "I'd love to feel those".
Really...
Have we not, as a civilization, progressed beyond that? What ever happened to "This set was amazing, great work to all those involved"? I know, I know. These days it's probably considered as soft core porn instead of amateur art. Much the same, I guess, as the term 'scat' has been hijacked by the industry and new age youngsters. Half of which probably don't even realize that it is ACTUALLY a form of vocal jazz...
Anyway, the point of this is to just pick at the seedy new age guy that hurts the reputation of the rest of us. This site, from my understanding of reading the history, was brought online to show the world that these people, who largely weren't/aren't, accepted by the social norm are still striking examples of beauty. They are still, even more so than the norm, worthy of being recognized as models and is giving them a chance to make a career out of it. Maybe it's just me being born in the wrong century but shouldn't we be praising these women and not making tags named "Perfect Tits" and "Spread Eagle"...
