This is a random update based on a conversation that I had with Aegies This is a rant based on my hatred of all forms of mineral makeup:
Demoness006: everyone's jumped on the mineral makeup bandwagon
Aegies: oh?
Aegies: i forget
Demoness006: which for the most part is crap
Aegies: is that a bad thing?
Aegies: ah
Demoness006: in some cases no
Aegies: i thought so.
Demoness006: in alot of cases yes
Demoness006: there are a lot of colors you cannot achieve with mineral makeup and therefor only match a limited range of skin tones
Aegies: wait
Aegies: mineral as in, cadmium and other metals and such?
Demoness006: yes
Demoness006: which are in theory, more pure and less damaging to the skin
Aegies: aren't those, oh, i don't know, severely toxic?
Demoness006: not all of them
Demoness006: zinc and titanium dioxide are not toxic
Aegies: i was fairly sure that titanium is toxic.
Demoness006: not on the skin
Demoness006: it's an major ingredient in sunblock love.
Demoness006: I wear it everyday
Aegies: ah
Demoness006: but anyway, if you have large pores, deep wrinkles, or dry skin powder makeup is only going to make these things look worse
Demoness006: or very dark skin
Aegies: who's singing the praises of this stuff?
Demoness006: when you get into mineral makeups that DO have shades for darker skin types, they are far less pure because those colors can't be achieved without synthetic colors
Demoness006: fucking everyone
Demoness006: there's like 20 brands of mineral makeup nowadays
Demoness006: truly pure mineral makeup isn't flexible at all
Demoness006: I'm talking about EVERYONE
Aegies: in the world?
Demoness006: anyone interested in cosmetics has become interested or infatuated with that stuff
Aegies: save for you, yes?
Demoness006: but anyway, alot of the newer brands, seeking to be more versatile have to compromise the purity of the minerals in order to achive the shade and product range people are acoustmed to
Aegies: which defeats the purpose
Demoness006: and then your right back where you started with synthetic colors and parabens for preservatives and fillers
Demoness006: exactly
Demoness006: Urban Decay just jumped on the bandwagon too
Aegies: got it.
Demoness006: the first two ingredients are methylparaben and propylparaben
Demoness006: when are two things that you switch to mineral makeup to avoid
Demoness006: parabens have been linked to various forms of cancer in some clinical studies
Aegies: which have to be put back in for the pallette versatility you were mentioning.
Demoness006: exactly
Demoness006: so the whole ideal of mineral makeup drives me crazy and you can see why
Demoness006: GAH!
Aegies: it's circular logic.
Aegies: i understand.
Seriously. I fucking hate this stuff. Make it go away.

I think you're worried because you find it hott.

I would love that. Actually, hopefully we'll make it up your way in the next few months. Maybe then.
