sorry i haven't updated this in a while.

mom is basically the same. they tell me she has slight dementia now. everytime i go to visit her, she asks for the candy i brought (i never brought her candy - she is on a strict diet), or the book she claims someone stole from her nightstand. other than that, she seems in good spirits.

my best friend's pop passed away last week. this is the 3rd death she has experienced in her family in a year.

my best friend, Occam, we aren't so close anymore. it saddens me, but he has a new lady in his life and has room for not much else. unfortunately he will have to move out of his loft at the end of the month because he can't find two roommates. well, i said he could rent a room from me, which i am not too thrilled at, but i'll help a friend. his girlfriend has problems with me, but i liken it to she wanting him all to herself. that's fine. i understand. it's not something i would do, but whatever.

i met a nice enough guy, chris, recently. he's 37 and works as a computer engineer. he owns his own home in the Mission, which is a cool location base to hang out in. i don't know how i feel about him, but i am giving it some time before i jump to any decisions. i have never dated anyone quite like him (we aren't dating, per se), so this is a rather new experience for me.

i am subbing again this year, but the work has been totally slow, which has me worried. i need to make that money!
