I find that I'm far more likely to simply not comment/rate a set that I don't care for. I know the whole idea of "Not For Me" is that some sets don't appeal to all readers... but... I don't know. It seems rude at best. Here's a very nice person who is trying something new, or at the very least is expressing herself and often wants to brighten our days. If I don't happen to care for a physical element or she happens to be into something I'm not, that doesn't seem like a good enough reason to diminish her chances at going pink.
I won't actively click "I Liked This" with or without a comment if it's not something I actively enjoyed, mind, but it doesn't seem to be much in my character to actively react against a set.
I'll make an exception for particularly poor photography, but I'll generally try to comment as to what might improve it. That said, there's some awfully good photographic composition that goes through the site.
