SETI search for extraterrestrial life. your computer gets a chunk of data from a radio telescope in south america? analyzes it (about 80 hours of computing) and sends it back to the SETI computers, it works as a screen saver or is on all the time and looks cool- a bit like a computer screen from star trek.
