I'm practicing my handwriting. I write like a drunken monkey that's been smoking crack. And that's just been kicked in the head. So anything that makes it a bit neater would be a good thing. I should scan some and post a screen shot, but you'd all mock me.
Hope everyone is happy and well.
I think that a solution to the internet subscription of doom problem will be happening ANY DAY NOW, but then I said that last month, so what do I know?
Another book recommendation:-
"Journey to the end of the room" by Tibor Fischer. It's clever without being cerebral, you know what I mean? I hate those books that are clever and like to rub your nose in it. "This is a Serious book, and you're going to have to work to enjoy it." They get on my tits. This book is clever, and funny, but good fun too. I liked his short stories and his other books. I think I prefered "The collector collector", but that's because I had just written a bit about a "train spotter spotter" and I was pleased that my idea wasn't terrible. I was a bit annoyed that someone else had done it before me, but at least it was someone good.
Listen to me blathering on, eh?
I am also baffled by the amount of coverage of Bird Flu in the UK media. In the past five years 160 people have had bird flu, and about 60 people have died form it. In an average year 10,000 people die of normal flu in the UK. So, I'm not that worried about BF just yet. I'd be a bit worried if I owned a chicken factory. But I don't. Of course, if it recombines and becomes Humanized then I'll start panicking, the last 'flu pandemics all had links to avian flu so that's a bit of a worry. Especially if it keeps it's resistance to Tamiflu (sp?). But yeah, I'm more worried about "Death by Filing Cabinet" than I am by bird flu.
I'm sort of reading a book about risk by Gerd Gigenzer (sp?) (I'll give more details next week). He goes into details about how risks are presented. A bit mathamatical, but I need to improve my math too.
Hey, I hope you're all happy and well. And eating your five portions of fruit and veg per day. (Do they have that abroad?)
AND NOW I'VE RUN OUT OF INTERNET TIME, SO MORE NEXT WEEK!

I'll have to check out the book you recommended... my psychiatrist recommended one that's pretty cheap on Amazon, I should probably just go to the store and get both if they have them. I'm debating whether to wait until I have a job before I do... the funds are running low.
I've played surprisingly few gamecube games. I've beat Zelda Wind Waker, but I have Paper Mario which I played only a few times, and Metroid Prime which I've not yet played. I've had both for months. I guess I don't have the same enthusiasm about gaming as I used to.
Be well
