So, apart from SG I spend my time doing "voluntary work" of various types. There's the stuff I do as therapy/'getting em back to work', which is twice a week for a few hours each time. That's all the gardening type stuff that I've talked about in the past.
Then I'm part of a service user group for people with mental health problems. I've been refered by my GP onto my local MH team, and the care I'm getting from them is much much better than anything I ever got from my GP. I don't know if my GP isn't very good, I think that's the case. There's a bunch of stuff that doctors can do, but my gp hasn't done, which makes me think that he hasn't really kept upto date with treatment for MH problems.
I'd like to recommend a book called "Mind over mood" which is expensive (like 17!!) but really very good. It doesn't have a bunch of psychobabble nonsense in it and it's evidence based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy which is useful for depression, obsessive/compulsive stuff, some eating disorders, sometimes it's useful for people who cut (though "Dielectical" something or other is -I've heard - better for self harm).
The only bad things happening to me at the moment are:-
a) No Internet, which is really very frustrating
b) FUCKING WANKER BANKS/INSURANCE
c) Being all alone in the world with no-one to hug me at nights and whisper "everything's okay" in my ear when I wake up in the cold dark hours of the night.
Waking up early has some advantages though, I've been listening to "The History of Love" by Nicole Krausss which is a fantastic book. Really very good. I recommend it, I'll try to scan a page or two sometime.
SO, I hope everyone is well and having fun.
