Well, I've found a quiet moment in my day, so here goes!

Summer has been treating me well, lots of paddleboarding, sunbathing, trips to the island, gardening, yoga, dog walks, vegan cooking & baking! I worked this spring at a local greenhouse but had to quit not long after because it was horrid, so I've been back to just doing the starving artist bit, and helping B around the house and with his business. It was nice for the first month, but now I feel like it's only enabling me to be more of a hermit and I hate being less independent. The local co-op is hiring, so I think I am going to apply there sometime this week. Wish me luck!

The two of us (sans dogs) are leaving in a few days to take the bus on a week-long trip through the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I've never been there, but looking on a map it's easy to see how much wilderness there is. We are going to be camping, hiking, backpacking, paddling, etc. We are also considering moving up that way, so another facet of the journey will be scoping out some towns up there to see if we like them.
