What an odd weekend. I got the parts to build my new rifle on Saturday. The last of them finally arrived. She's almost done now, just some power pack issues and a new inner barrel before she's up and running to full capacity. Someone leaked a couple of images of it onto a forum about these rifles and I've been getting emails all day to do custom pieces the same as this one for them. Don't they realise if everyone has one it loses it's appeal? Get some originality people!
Sunday was a waste, more or less. I stayed in and did shag all. I ended up just being lazy and reading a book for the day. If you get a chance and you like some alt-history or technical wartime books, check out John Birmingham's World War 2.0 trilogy. I've just finished the second book and it's pretty damn good. Not the heaviest of reading, but worth it for the take on the characters, past, present and future.
Today was spent at work, sitting at my desk playing solitaire on my iPhone. I totally forgot I had nothing to do today. I could have taken the day off.
This song has been going through my head for the last week.
Brian Eno - Here Come the Warm Jets
There's something about it that makes me smile every time. In fact, it's probably the only thing that's kept me smiling all week. The video is done by a YouTube Brian Eno fan, I reckon it's just about perfect.
