This time, it was my sister. Posting a bulletin with a bunch of dead fetus (some were probably NOT from abortions) pictures within. I have several friends who do this. And it irks the ever-loving fuck out of me. I would much rather sit and wade through bulletins about "ZOMG if you don't repost this in .000011389 seconds someone is going to knock on your door and shoot your dog and then you'll never date again for the rest of your life because you'll get some crazy, permanent version of crabs!!!"--which must be how Jesus was born from a virgin mother. I'm telling you. Chain letters. Hahaha. Chain letters are responsible for Christianity. =D
ANYWAY.
I'd rather do that than have to wade through a bulletin that has been mass-reproduced for your copy-paste-click pleasure and posted because of poor, uninformed opinions. Gr.
SOoooooo... I posted my own little bulletin. And I would like to share it with you, here because I thought it was brilliant. Probably nothing that hasn't been written before by a million other pro-choice advocates, but hey. I was proud of myself. Mostly it made me feel like if I was on the receiving end of this message and pro-life (IE: someone else entirely), it would change my opinion of abortion. That's important.
Subject: "If you can't trust me with a CHOICE... (PRO-LIFERS READ)
How can you trust me with a CHILD?"
Look... I don't mean to be rude, but I have a few mothers on Myspace. All of which I love dearly, do not get me wrong. BUT
At least ONCE a day there is a bulletin about pro-life and how abortion is wrong and blah blah blah. Sometimes there are pictures, like the latest one going around, of dead baby fetuses. Sometimes there's a sick little story someone wrote up about how mommy must not love her baby because she's gonna kill him.
All right. Stop.
You all need to fucking think about this for one minute.
We are overpopulated. I understand this is probably an insensitive way to look at this, but guess what? It's no less the truth. We all ready have TOO many people. More people than we can feed, more people than we can clothe and shelter and give medical attention to. More people than we can even give jobs to or higher educations to.
Have any of you ever thought about that?
I have heard that statement before: If you're going to be irresponsible and have sex without protection and blahblahblah, you should have to pay the consequences. Which is dealing with a child ten months later.
A) That is not karma. I don't know who ever said it was, but that is science and biology, it has nothing to do with your choices coming to bite you in the ass.
B) LISTEN TO YOURSELF. You are pro-life, man. You are the amazing advocate for children and being a parent and all this and that. A CHILD IS NOT AND SHOULD NOT EVER BE A CONSEQUENCE. A CHILD IS A BLESSING. A CHILD IS NOT A PUNISHMENT FOR SEX. Nor a punishment at all.
Pull your fucking heads out.
Now I want you to stop and think about all the babies and all the young, maybe even adolescent, teenage children in the world. Try to google an accurate statistic of HOW many children in the world are living in orphanages or hopping around in foster homes or living at adoption agencies. A lot. Too fucking many as it is. And that says nothing of what I mentioned earlier- the adults in the world that we cannot even provide service for.
And can you honestly imagine how screwed up children can get from growing up for any length of time without parents? Or having to one day find out that their mom and dad aren't really their mom and dad.
Or better yet, can you imagine having a parent or parents who had you out of moral or social obligation and kept you and then realised they couldn't take care of you? Or they were abusive? Or you had to grow up around drugs and alcoholism because they were irresponsible? HELLO!?
Every child that comes into the world that cannot be taken responsibility of and taken care of by one or two nurturing parent(s) takes just THAT MUCH MORE away from every child that all ready is here and living and breathing and learning and remembering thinking.
Which brings me to my next point:
I don't care what some bullshit propagandist website about pro-life and anti-abortion told you about fetuses. That baby, at the point is last safe to get an abortion, does not fucking KNOW SHIT. That baby does NOT. CARE. that it is alive. It is simply growing because that is what a woman's body and their own biology tells them to do. That baby does not FEEL that death. That baby does not understand what is happening to it or its mother. That baby has not come a fraction of a hair close to having any cognitive kind of recognition. They do not know. They do not care. And until I hear from a credible source that a baby was reported to cry or say "ow" when an abortion took place, then you all need to quit buying that shit.
That baby has the potential to feel and think and know. But some people have the potential to be serial killers and to be famous for finding a cure for AIDS and blahblahblah.
Here are other points to think about:
That next child that comes into the world and gets sent off to an orphanage has the exact same odds of potential to become a serial killer or a meth dealer as it does to become president or the next Mother Teresa. And the same potential to be an average person that simply grows up, works, maybe goes to school, maybe ends up with a family and a thre-bedroom with a mini-van and two dogs. But what are the odds that the next twenty to get sent to orphanages are all going to turn out average to Gandhi-status? Not too high.
This point is what leads me to tell you that you need to do RESEARCH. Instead of just going to those pro-life sites, go to a few pro-choice. Look at all the numbers. Read between the lines. Find out what each side is not telling you and decide from that. You cannot decide on one side.
Take, for instance, an election. Any voter who is intelligent at all and doesn't just cast their vote for the person in their party when voting comes around will do research about ALL the candidates in an election. They will learn about their strengths and weaknesses and their stances on everything.
If I'm a democrat and Joe Blow is running democratic and his stances on issue are that he is anti-gay marriage and pro-war and all this, does that mean I'm gonna vote for him because he's a self-proclaimed Democrat? Uh. No. Period.
What happens when you go to the grocery store and one tabloid/celebrity magazine you pick up (for the same month) says that Jessica Simpson is in rehab for meth and they show a picture of her as skin and bones and bags? And then you pick up the one right next to it that says she's gained 30 pounds and just checked herself into Jenny Craig. What are you going to do? depending on your opinion of Jessica, probably believe one or the other. If you're intelligent, though, you will either write both of them off as bullshit OR you will go do research and find out for yourself.
Do research. That's all I ask. And if you think Michael Moore is the greatest journalist/director/whatever of all time, then I'm probably wasting my breath on you.
Next: The next time you get a bulletin about abortion, try something for me? Instead of selecting all, copying, pasting, and clicking a few buttons, why don't you go on google and look up adoption agencies and post a bulletin about how everyone on MySpace should consider adoption. Get creative. Post a few pictures of some kids with parents who decided NOT to have an abortion. Get that sponsoring. Or, if you're feeling REALLY pro-life, as I told my sister, I suggest you go and make five-figures real quick and go adopt a child of your own. Then we'll see how much you harp at people and judge people for being pro-choice and/or for having an abortion.
I digress...
Rape and incest are NOT the only valid reasons for abortion. There is such a thing as, Just plain not ready to have or even give birth to a child. And fuck anyone who gives judgment to a woman who makes that choice.
And if you're Christian, to add to that last statement: it's not YOUR job to judge ANYONE.
I'm sorry if this offended anyone, but guess what? You fucking offended me with your pro-life bulletin.
Fin!
Thank you, thank you. No encores.
when i notice the anxiety is starting to get to me i take a little and after awhile i dont really need it anymore. it works for some people and not for others, but luckly its only like 7$ for a bottle. so if it doesn't work its not a total loss.
i'm not sure what websites you already have read up on
but i thought this one to be most informative:
http://www.abchomeopathy.com/r.php/Ign
hope that helped
if you live near any stores that sell a lotta health/organic foods you won't have any problems finding it.
although it might be better to order it, cause all the ones they sell in the stores are pretty low doses. which can get annoying, taking 4 tablets 4 times a day haha.
