it was over a decade ago, but one bank put a hold on my deposited paycheck for a WEEK, which meant I went under to nearly 1$ until I realized what they'd done... which, since the deposit was STILL held led to ANOTHER overdraft fee, then another, and another... 'til the paycheck wasn't enough to cover the f'n FEES by the time they released it!
I was not amused and closed the account once I was able.
If they don't, threaten to go to another bank. They hate that.
